Ease to check in. The room was lovely. The retro way it had been decorated showed a lot of thought has gone into the design. Tea and coffee making facilities were thoughtfully laid out.. [loved the drawer idea with everything laid out].... loved it.

Does the job
The location was good as close to the beach front. Self check in service was swift. Mini fridge contained milk for the coffee machine as well as complimentary waters. They also had cake available at 4pm which we missed but is a nice idea.
The room was dusty and badly plastered, along with the toilet roll holder falling off the wall everything felt a little uncared for. You could hear every footstep and conversation people were having in the corridors and rooms. You could also hear a lot of outside noise. The lift was also questionable and felt more like a service lift than one for guests. It was small and old fashioned which I suppose adds to the charm, but it’s really compact and quite claustrophobic. On a few occasions we had to use the stairs as when calling the lift it would prioritise other floors and left us standing there watching everyone else come and go. Though the price seems reasonable I was disappointed by the lack of finishing and small details and would have expected a little more for my money.
